Akkord's debut album out now

Following a drip of track previews via temporary phone lines, cassette singles, QR codes and the official Akkord website (all of which FACT documented here and here), the self-titled debut album by Akkord is now available in its entirety.

Akkord began as a shadowy collective with an espoused passion for mathematics and sacred geometry, crafting intelligent and beautifully oppressive electronic music. Eventually revealed as a collaboration between experienced Mancunian bass producers Synkro and Indigo, 'Akkord' blurs the lines between junglist revivalism, smoky ambience, and suctioned dub, with a consistently engaging pulse linking the styles. Carefully arranged and achieving maximum impact on a proper soundsystem, Akkord have turned in an ominous and daring debut LP.

Mastered by Matt Colton, and presented in a foiled, embossed sleeve and spot-varnished PVC outer, the album is available on CD or double LP (cut to heavyweight 180g vinyl), as well as digitally. The album is available to stream until midday on Tuesday 26th November on FACT, and is available from our store, iTunes and any other good record shop or download store. As ever, buy the vinyl LP from our store to receive free WAVs.
