LISTEN: Throwing Snow - full Pathfinder EP stream

Released on Monday and available on 12"/download from the Houndstooth store, or to download from iTunes, Throwing Snow's 'Pathfinder EP' is now streaming in full on SoundCloud. 

Pitchfork debuted the lead track 'The Tempest', saying guest vocalist Adda Kaleh "provides a pop-focused sensibility amidst the abstract structure and arpeggiated tones that [Ross] Tones (haha) provides." 

The Quietus said of the second track, Caedis (a Lauren Laverne favourite on BBC 6Music): "Works up from aerated music box loops and violin to an unsettled, jagged synth line hooked around a stomping downbeat."

"Deserves to be played in a room the size of an aircraft hanger, or at least at a volume loud enough to fill one," was Dazed magazine's verdict of the EP's title track.

Meanwhile, XLR8R described EP closer 'Summus' thus: "The moody production rushes forward with a bed of orchestral tones and gritty pads, all of which eventually fall prey to the assemblage of heavily compressed, redlined drum samples charging ahead in the song's latter half."
